We spent the last several days (almost 2 weeks) at Grandpa Doc’s ranch (Brush Creek Ranch). It is a crazy beautiful wonderful place that we would love to someday call home.

Loads of laundry, grocery shopping, unpacking, cleaning, and sifting through the huge stack of mail that was waiting for us when we got home have been  my main activities since our return. Since getting home I have also sorted through 228 emails, 81 blog comments (all of which turned out to be spam ), and 3 facebook messages. We had no internet service, only patchy phone service, but lots of wide open spaces:

For Christmas, Daddy gave Grandpa a gift of 10 days work on the ranch. Mostly what we did was paint one of the schoolhouses on the property to convert it into Grandpa Doc and Nana Sandy’s special place to stay whenever they go up there.

It certainly wasn’t all “work.” There was also much “play.”

Josiah had fun spending time with Grandpa Doc and Nana Sandy.

And made good friends with their dog, Bailey.

We even crossed a number of things off of the 1 year old bucket list.But seeing as I woke up at 11:30 tonight after laying down to put Josiah to bed at 8, more on that will have to wait.
