Matching Pajamas and Superhero Capes

Well, I finished my comprehensive exams yesterday, woohoo!

Now–as I promised in this post about how I wanted to improve my blog this year–it is time to start putting together a portfolio page of things I have made. I have decided to start by sharing these matching pajamas I made for my son and his cousins this past Christmas:

The three big kids also got matching super-hero capes:

Each featured the letter of their first name on the back of the cape…
…and the front of the pajamas:

The capes snapped closed (so we wouldn’t have to deal with any velcro coming through the washing machine):

I made each of the shirts with the type of neckline that is usually just found on onesies (all of our kids have big noggins and this makes getting dresses SO MUCH easier!):

The pants were roomy with soft elastic wastebands, serged inner seams, and a cute SnugasaBugBaby tag :)

The pattern for each piece (shirt, pants, and capes) was my own design based off of similar patterns and clothes from my sons closet.

I think they were well-received :)

ALMOST as cute as the kids wearing them!\

This is not an item that you will find in my SnugasaBugBaby etsy store…but I am always open for custom orders! I charge $12 an hour for the design and construction plus the cost of materials…drop me a line at alisha@snugasabugbaby.com if you are interested or have any questions.

    8. One of my favorite childhood memories were the handmade matching pajamas we would open on Christmas eve. Even today, we get jammies on Christmas Eve {store bought}. What precious memories!

I just wanted to let you know that I featured this project on my blog today as a featured project at my *Get Creative* linky party. I co-hosted last week with {Wow Me} Wednesday at Ginger Snap Crafts, and I found your project there.
